Everyone knows us as Fonda, though our formal name is "Fonda Solana," which in Spanish means "cafe on a sunny corner." We are all about good food, great drinks and fun.
Our fantastic chef Juan Chel (pictured here) has created an extensive menu of Mexican and South American small plates including our popular Veracruz style seafood cocktail, duck tacos, tostaditas de carnitas, quesadillas with mushrooms, an unbelievable Churrasco style rack of lamb, and much more.
Fonda's full bar features wines, beer on tap, premium spirts including the East Bay's most extensive list of tequilas, and great mixed drinks.
We are open 7 nights a week, plus Saturday and Sunday at noon for Weekend Lunch.
Because we know you sometimes want to stay out late and have a good time we stay open serving both food and drinks until 12:30 am every night including Sunday.
And every day there is an "Afternoon Siesta" featuring $1 oysters on the half shell and $5 mojitas from 5 pm until 7 pm. Our late night Happy Hour menu (9 pm til close) includes food and drink specials you won't find on the regular menu include our famous Cuban Mini-Burger.
Tuesday night is "Taco Tuesday." You can create you own taco platter for only $2.50 per taco and their are 8 fabulous tacos to choose from.
